Seniors and Parents,

Dear Seniors and Parents,

May 23 will be here before we know it. This email has a lot of important information so please read
and act.

Remember that we have graduation rehearsal Thursday morning at First Baptist Trussville beginning at 10:30 am. One parent and senior must attend.

PowerPoint Pictures: Your seniors 3-5 pictures for the slide show for graduation must be turned in by
Tuesday, April 23. It is a maximum of 5 total pictures. You pick the 5. Send them digitally to
office@crossroadschristian.us or bring hard copies to the office. We have a deadline to get it to the
church so we will not be able to accept late submissions.

Speaking at Graduation: Deadline to let me know if you want to speak, sing or play is Tuesday, April 23.

Yearbook Form: If your senior is walking in graduation, please have them complete this form if they

have not already done so NOW!

Scholarships or Awards: Let me know of any scholarships or awards/honors your student has
received. These would be scholarships they plan to use at their chosen school (not every award they
received from each place they have applied). Awards are things like Key Club Medallion, Eagle Scout, ;
Eta Sigma Alpha National Honors Society. I need those by Thursday, May 2 or preferably sooner. If your
student receives one after that, let me know and I will announce it at graduation if it does not make it
into the program. Even if they put them on the yearbook form, I would like to have the official final
accepted scholarship/awards name sent to the office email so I make sure I have everything correct.

Seating Issues: I need to know if you need a space for a wheelchair.

Photographer: The photographer will be taking senior individual and family photos beginning at 5:15

pm, so come early. We need these for your student’s yearbook ½ page, and you will have the option to
purchase as well. Do NOT WAIT. There are 54 graduates, and we need to move them through the line
quickly. Attached you will find the form to fill out and bring with you to save time. We need one for
everyone having a picture made, purchase or not. We need the student’s name as it will be in the
yearbook and a good contact number. You will be able to see the photo on her camera and can choose
to purchase if you would like.

Grades: Grades must be turned in by May 10 for your student to receive their diploma at graduation. If

you need more time to finish, they will receive a cover, and when grades are submitted, we will issue a
diploma.

Tuition: All 2023-2024 tuition, including May, must be paid by May 10 for your student to receive their

diploma at graduation.

So, to recap what you need to remember:

1. Rehearsal 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23 at FBCT.
2. PowerPoint Pics due by Tuesday, April 23
3. Let me know if you want to speak or play at graduation by Tuesday, April 23.
4. Fill out the Yearbook form, NOW!
5. Let me know of any accepted scholarships/awards to put in the program by May 2.
6. Let me know of any special wheelchair needs of your guests.
7. Come early, beginning at 5:15 pm, to get your family/senior picture taken for you and your yearbook page and/or to purchase.
8. Turn in grades by May 10.
9. Pay all tuition by May 10.

Blessings,
Jenny Bartz

Transcripts

IF you need a transcript, you can use this link or the link on our website under records. Remember that we will need the most current grades to complete the transcript. Keep that in mind when requesting.

Dual Enrollment and Transcripts/Grades

If you take a Dual Enrollment class during your high school years, in order to get college credit, you will need to submit a completed official transcript to that college. That cannot happen until after your graduation date. Remember to submit that transcript request once you graduate. Do not assume we know that you took Dual Enrollment classes. For the college to convert conditional credits to actual college credits, a final transcript from your high school which includes your graduation date must be sent to the college you were enrolled in. Then, if you are going on to a 4-year college, you must request a transcript sent from the college where you were dually enrolled to be sent to the college you will be going to. FINAL TRANSCRIPTS WILL GO OUT AFTER MAY 18 UPON REQUEST.

Preparing for Life After Graduation

I know that each of you are making plans for life after graduation. Some are going straight into full-time work; some are choosing a trade and others are attending college. There are so many choices, it can be stressful and confusing. Whatever you choose, the following information can be very helpful. Some of the information is a continuation of the soft skills presentation from Senior Day. Click each topic for a downloadable PDF.
